For this month’s blogging income report, I have decided to change how I show my analytics just a bit. If you look back at the first few reports that I posted, you will notice that I only showed the numbers for the current month. From this point onward, I will be showing you the current month laid over the same periods for last year.
You may be asking yourself why you should even learn to embed videos inside Pinterest pins. Well, have you noticed that videos on Pinterest tend to get lost in the mix? They just sit there waiting and hoping for someone to click them. They do not grab the attention the way that a jazzy title can. They also have no immediately noticable branding.
I have a confession to make. I will share it with you as long as you keep it between just the two of us. Are you ready? Okay. Here goes! I am horrible with time management… or at least I used to be before I started using time blocking techniques. But, once I realized how time blocking can increase productivity, I got on board, fast!
Naturally, there are going to be exceptions to the rules, but there seem to be some very big mistruths floating around about blogging. It boggles the mind to see all the “overnight successful bloggers” out there that are assuring you that if you just follow their plan, you will have overnight success, too. You may be left feeling like you must not have what it takes to make it as a blogger. Well, obviously if everyone else is seeing such overnight success, then you must be doing something wrong….right? No! You have just fallen into the trap of blogging truths and downright lies!
One of the first steps that you should take as a blogger is to create a clear comment policy. Back before I started this blog, I avoided all social media platforms like the plague. It sounds weird for someone who has a BBA with a concentration in information technology to say that. But, now that my job requires me to be active in social media, I am even more convinced than ever that it can be an emotional vacuum that sucks the very soul out of you.
